Enjoy a shot of Guaro! This is a potent alcohol distilled from fermented sugarcane. It is one of the most popular drinks of the country. This beverage has a very simple taste, but packs as much of a punch in one shot as most drinks would have in a glassful.
You can choose between restaurants with balconies overlooking the calming sea or a dazzling swimming pool infinity edge, which joins the Pacific Ocean. A little later, visit Downtown Mal-Pais’ casual cafés or charming café/bars. Try our traditional hot drink, Agua Dulce, a soothing warm beverage made from melted sugar cane. Try adding your choice of lemon or milk.
Experience our Central American cultural nightlife. You can even visit an open-sky, ocean-front disco; with a variety of music from reggae to the traditional music. Learn to dance our Costa Rican folk dance, the Punto Guanacasteo. On Wednesdays, you could try shaking it up to saucy Latin music.
